Coffered Ceiling Paintings of Yatsurugi Hachiman-jinja

The coffered ceiling of the haiden (worship hall) features 162 decorative panels executed in the traditional style of the Kano School. These works depict various subjects, including landscapes, birds, flowers, and animals. The paintings are attributed to the 18th century, as they are consistent with the shrine's reconstruction in 1773 (the second year of the An'ei era) during the mid-Edo period.
